ROUTEOS FAQs

Frequently asked questions.

Answers about Website + RouteOS, the Booking Plugin, pricing, licence terms and direct online bookings.

What is RouteOS?

RouteOS provides websites and online booking software for taxi, private hire, airport transfer and chauffeur companies. Customers can get a quote, choose a vehicle and submit a booking; operators manage those bookings in RouteOS.

Which RouteOS product do I need?

Need a new website? Choose Website + RouteOS Company Edition. Already have a good suitable WordPress website? Choose the RouteOS Booking Plugin. These are two routes to the booking setup; you do not need to buy both.

How much does Website + RouteOS cost?

The standard price is £499. The current rollout price is £299 one-off until 30 November 2026.

How much does the Booking Plugin cost?

The RouteOS Booking Plugin is £299 one-off. The website package’s rollout discount does not apply to the plugin. Setup on one suitable WordPress website is included.

Is there a monthly RouteOS fee?

No monthly RouteOS software licence. RouteOS Company Edition uses a one-off software licence. Normal third-party costs such as web hosting, domain renewal, payment processing, SMS and API usage may have their own charges.

Can I use Company Edition on more than one website?

RouteOS Company Edition permits use across multiple websites owned or operated by the same licensed company. Setup is included for one suitable website. This does not grant resale, redistribution or installations for unrelated third-party companies.

What updates are included?

Six months of RouteOS updates and bug fixes are included. Optional development or customisation is separate from the included update period.

How long does setup take?

Typical setup: 3–5 days after all required business information and access have been supplied. Plugin installation depends on the suitability of the existing WordPress theme, plugins, hosting and configuration; no fixed plugin installation time is promised.

Are online bookings automatically accepted?

Online booking does not necessarily mean automatic acceptance. A booking can be received as Pending, reviewed by the operator and then changed to Confirmed. Booking acknowledgement and notifications are distinct from confirmation.

Can I keep using phone, WhatsApp and email?

Keep taking bookings by phone, WhatsApp and email. RouteOS simply gives customers another way to book directly. This does not imply a WhatsApp API integration.

Can I configure fares and online payments?

RouteOS supports fixed and distance/time fares, minimum fares, vehicle pricing and configured adjustments. Exact suitability depends on your pricing structure. Stripe and PayPal are supported third-party online payment options; Cash/manual options can also be configured. Payment-processing fees may apply.

Does RouteOS create traffic or dispatch drivers?

RouteOS gives visitors a direct quote-and-booking path; it does not generate website traffic by itself. Booking management includes manual driver assignment. Live driver tracking, autonomous dispatch and live flight monitoring are not current product claims.

Who controls the website?

The website runs on your hosting. You control its WordPress pages and content. Your RouteOS installation is provided under the applicable software licence.
